Have you ever wanted to turn your digital illustrations, photos, or business logo into real, peel-able stickers? With the Likcut S41, it’s easier than you think!

The "Print Then Cut" feature is one of the most powerful tools in the Likcut ecosystem. It allows you to print a design on your home printer and then have your Likcut S41 precisely cut around the edges. Because the S41 is designed for A4 size, it is the perfect companion for standard printable vinyl and sticker papers.

In this guide, we will walk you through the 9 simple steps to creating your first batch of custom stickers. Let's get started!

What You Will Need

  • Likcut S41 Cutting Machine

  • Inkjet Printer (Any standard home printer works!)

  • Printable Vinyl or Sticker Paper

  • Likcut Cutting Mat (Standard Grip)

  • Likcut Software (PC/Mac)

Step-by-Step Guide: From Screen to Sticker

Step 1: Upload Your Design

Open the Likcut software and create a new canvas. Click the Upload button. You can use almost any image format, but we recommend high-quality PNG, JPG, or SVG files.

  • Tip: For stickers, a PNG with a transparent background works best!

Step 2: Select "Flat Graphic" Mode

Once your image is uploaded, the software will ask how you want to process it. Select Flat Graphic mode. This tells the software that this is a Print Then Cut image, not just a cut file. It preserves all the colors and details inside your image while preparing the outer edge for cutting.

Step 3: Auto-Resize for Maximum Efficiency

Don't worry about measuring! To make the most of your A4 sticker paper, simply click the Auto-Fit / Max Size button on the toolbar. The software will automatically scale your design (or layout multiple copies) to fit perfectly within the printable area of an A4 sheet, ensuring you don't waste any material.

Step 4: Click "Make It"

Happy with the layout? Click the green Make button in the top corner. This will take you to the preview screen where you can see exactly how your mat will look.

Step 5: Adjust Position (Optional)

On the preview screen, double-check the placement of your designs. If you need to move things around to save space or avoid a damaged corner of your paper, you can drag and adjust the pattern position manually here.

Step 6: Print Your Design

Now, connect to your home printer. Click Print.

  • Important: Make sure you load your Printable Vinyl or sticker paper into your printer correctly (check which side your printer prints on!).

  • The printer will print your design along with black "Registration Marks" (usually box corners). Do not cut these off! Your Likcut S41 needs them to "see" where to cut.

Step 7: Stick Material to the Mat

Take your freshly printed sheet and align it onto your Likcut Cutting Mat. Make sure to align the paper with the top-left grid lines of the mat. Press it down firmly so there are no bubbles or bumps.

Step 8: Select Material & Start Cutting

Load the mat into your Likcut S41. In the software, select your material setting (e.g., "Printable Vinyl" or "Sticker Paper"). Click Start. The S41 will first scan the black registration marks to calibrate its position. Then, it will proceed to cut perfectly around your designs!

Step 9: Weed and Finish

Once the machine is done, unload the mat. Carefully peel away the excess vinyl (this is called "weeding") leaving only your beautifully cut stickers on the backing paper. Congratulations! You just made your first custom sticker sheet!
